CRYOGENIC NATURAL GAS
PROCESSING UNITS
Highlighted Project:
50 MMSCFD Deep Cut RJT

Crosstrails executed a Detailed Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication project that included the engineering, detailed design of the cryogenic natural gas liquefaction and fractionation unit, the supply of all associated kit, the operator training and pre-commissioning efforts for a 50 MMSCFD Fuel Gas Condition Skid for a power generation station in Nigeria. The focus of the project was the elimination of the existing flaring associated with this site and the provision of electricity to the surrounding area. The project provided conditioned fuel gas to power the natural gas turbines as well as purity propane, LPG and condensate which met international grade standards and condensate. Each of the products were previously being flared or released to the atmosphere.
NITROGEN REJECTION
UNITS
Highlighted Project:
5.5 MMSCFD Cryogenic N2 Rejection Unit

Crosstrails provided a cryogenic nitrogen rejection unit with a flowrate of 5.5 MMSCFD for use in the landfill renewables market in Michigan. The unit provides the means to strip the nitrogen from the methane sales gas. The unit is somewhat unique in its ability to manage a wide range on inlet nitrogen composition from 4% to 26%. Crosstrails was responsible for the full detail design, procurement and fabrication of the inlet dehydration unit as well as the cold section of the unit. The projects qualified the operators for 45Q credits and RIN pricing for the gas sales.

FRACTIONATION
Highlighted Project:
25 MMSCFD LPG Unit

Crosstrails provided a Front End Engineering and Design package for the Tataouine Gas Plant which was designed to process 25 MMSCFD of raw natural gas. The products from the plant were purity propane, purity butane (iso and normal), Butapro I or II, wild pentane, condensate, and dry sales gas. The facility consisted of an inlet slug catcher, inlet/residue gas compression, mercury removal system, molecular sieve dehydration, cryogenic heat exchanger, turbo-expansion, reflux tower, deethanizer, depropanizer system, debutanizer system, propane refrigeration, and hot oil system along with all associated utilities.
CARBON CAPTURE AND
SEQUESTRATION (CCS)
Highlighted Project:
8 MMSCFD CO2 Purification & Liquefaction

Crosstrails performed a Front-End Engineering and Design project that included the full process and mechanical design, technology configuration and selection, and economic evaluation for a carbon capture & sequestration project from a large-scale amine unit. The project was designed to capture the CO2 tail gas stream, dehydrate it, purify the CO2 to beverage grade and then liquefy it for distribution via a trucking network to regional users. The separated methane from the CO2 was recycled back to the main process or utilized for fuel.

Highlighted Project:
Compression Analysis & Hydraulic Network Study

Crosstrails was engaged by an international financial institution as an independent technical consultant to execute the review and analysis of fourteen (14) compressor stations located and maintained across the Veracruz area in Mexico. Crosstrails executed the desktop review of the basic design and planning for the expansive project, participated in a thorough site visit to each station to assess the overall suitability of the site to accommodate the project, provided a technical evaluation of the specific compression equipment, reviewed the commercial and topical evaluation of the specific equipment located at each site, and review and co-develop the project’s capital budget and schedule, financial leasing model, construction details and pertinent licenses. The major deliverables of the project were presented in a report which encompassed the above for the financial institutions management.
RENEWABLES
Highlighted Project:
H2 Generation
Crosstrails was tasked with the Front-End Engineering Design activities for a pilot plant project in the U.S. that entailed the dehydration, purification and recycling of a hydrogen reactor effluent stream in a nitride battery development process. The basis covered a wide array of feed inlet conditions and had very stringent requirements for hydrogen return purity. Crosstrails was responsible for all technology selection, component selection and economic evaluation of the project.
